This NYC local law establishes rules for co-op board applications.

Access Upon Request
Co-ops must maintain a standardized application and full transfer requirements for sales and transfers.
Acknowledgement Period
Within 15 days of receiving an application, co-op must acknowledge receipt in writing by email and registered mail specifying whether the application is complete and, if not, identify each item needing clarification. If no such notice is sent, the application is deemed complete as of the due date.
Decision Period
Within 45 days after completion acknowledgment / deemed completion, co-op must notify purchaser whether consent is granted unconditionally, conditionally approved, or denied. The co-op may request additional materials during review period and may extend the decision one time by up to 14 days without consent (with notice), or longer with purchaser consent.

Improvements & Betterments - Recommended coverage $50,000. Again, a higher figure may be appropriate, depending on estimated replacement cost of all structural improvements made to a unit by present or prior owners. Loss Assessment: Required coverage $50,000. This covers any assessment made by the Corporation to cover shortfalls in the Master Policy.
